The Monetary Policy Committee Central Bank of Egypt, decided at its previous meeting on March 21 last year, headed by Hisham Ramez, Governor of Central Bank of Egypt, raising interest rates on overnight deposit and lending for one night, by 50 basis points to levels of 9.75, and 10.75%, from previous levels, a 9.25%, and 10.25%, respectively, and raise the price of credit and debit, the level of 10.25%, by 75 basis points, from the previous level of 9.5%, and raise the rate deal on the operations of repurchase agreements "repo" to the proportion of 10.25%, from its previous level of 9.75%.
